- Over ten years of NASA line management, seven years as the Branch Chief, Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Branch and two years as the Earth Science Division Chief.
|

- Served as the acting Program Manager for Aviation Safety in the Applied Science Program While on a detail to NASA HQ with the SES Candidate Development Program. Also participated in the planning for the first Global Earth Observation System of Systems international summit at the State Department in Washington, D.C., July 2003.
|
|
- Over 20 years of involvement in atmospheric research, primarily in airborne field studies. Focused on project management of airborne field campaigns in the last 14 years. Gained significant experience with international field deployments and provided innovative leadership in networking and data exchange, facilitating high scientific productivity.

Specific Contributions: |
- Managed over 10 major NASA airborne field campaigns, 4 of them international, in the last 10 years.
|
|
- Developed Ames Meteorological Satellite Downlink and Display System (MSDDS) for direct digital acquisition of geostationary and polar orbiter satellite data. MSDDS has been a key component of every major airborne field experiment since 1991.
|
|
- Worked with NASA Science Internet Office, now the NASA Integrated Services Network (NISN) to implement LAN/WAN connectivity for all major airborne field experiments since 1991.
|
|
- With Steve Gaines, developed the data exchange standards and procedures which have been used by NASA and several European groups.
