Contributions: | Fifteen years as lead technician in support of cutting edge scientific instrumentation used in studies of the composition and chemistry of the atmosphere. Developed, built, integrated, operated, and troubleshot the electronics of instruments used during the following campaigns:
- Ames Ozone Ultraviolet Photometer instrument on board NASA ER-2 during first Antarctic Ozone expedition (1987).
- Computer based real-time ozone data downlink system for Ames ER-2 telemetry experiments (1988).
- Ames Particle Sampler cockpit switch recording circuitry for use on board NASA ER-2 (1988).
- Ames Fast Chemiluminescent Ozone instrument during the San Juaquin Pollution Study (1990).
- Computer controlled data acquisition and control system for Ames PANAK instrument (1992; upgraded system in 1995,1998, 2000, 2004, 2005)
- PANAK instrument on board NASA DC-8 for PEM West A, PEM West B, TRACE A, SONEX, PEM Tropics A, PEM Tropics B expeditions, INTEX A, INTEX B (1992-2006).
- Ames 6 channel Sun Photometer (1999).
- AATS-14 Sunphotometer on board UW CV-580 aircraft during SAFARI2000 South African field campaign. (Aug/Sept 2000).
- AATS-6 Sunphotometer on board NCAR C-130 aircraft during ACE-Asia field campaign (April/May 2001)
- AATS-14 Sunphotometer on board NASA DC-8 aircraft during SOLVE 2 mission to Arctic (Feb/Mar 2003)
