At NASA Ames I have been involved in the development of the spatial databases required to run the NASA-CASA model. The NASA-CASA model is an ecosystem process model which estimates carbon and nitrogen fluxes. This requires knowledge and experience of GIS and image processing systems in addition to familiarity with the software and datasets. My research experience over the past 10 years has included working on a variety of projects exploring trace gas fluxes from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil to the Central Valley of California. More recently over the past few years I have been involved in developing an interface for a decision support tool using ArcIMS to give other researchers and foresters access to our modeled data. I have extensive experience programming and developing spatial modeling tools. |
