Journal for TARFOX Special Section: JGR-Atmospheres, Papers on Climate and Atmospheric Physics
Submittal Schedule: Drafts for circulation among the full TARFOX Science Team are due December 7, 1997, with a maximum of circulation encouraged before this date. The final deadline for submittal to JGR will be in the following few months; the exact date will be decided at the December Science Team Meeting and Workshop.
Conference Special Sessions on TARFOX: None will be held at the AGU 1997 Fall Meeting (to be held Monday December 8-Friday December 12), though TARFOX papers may be submitted to other sessions as appropriate.
Science Team Meeting and Workshop: To be held in San Francisco on 2 days in the period Sunday December 7 through Friday December 12. Which 2 days will be decided after the schedule of sessions for the Fall AGU Meeting appears. (A similar scheduling procedure was followed for the May SCAR-B meetings in Baltimore, with acceptable results.)
When/How to archive data at the NASA Langley Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC): This issue was discussed following a presentation by Dave McDougal (SCAR-B Project Manager) on the Langley DAAC and SCAR-B archival plans. The issue will be reexamined at the December TARFOX Science Team Meeting. A tentative recommendation was made that the TARFOX public release date be the journal submittal deadline.
