The Resurs-O1 was launched in 1994 and carries a five-channel scanner, MSU-SK, sensing in the visible, near-infrared, and thermal-infrared (TIR) portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The satellite has a 678-km orbit and the imagery have a 600-km swath. The large swath width translates to a repeat cycle of 4 days. The launch of Resurs-O2 is not currently scheduled.
