Sensor Specifications: Priroda

Priroda was launched in 1996, and is a module of the MIR space station. MIR, and therefore Priroda, orbits at an altitude of 380km. Priroda is the platform for a number of instruments including several sensors for imaging: TRAVERS (SAR), MSU-E, MSU-SK, and MOMS-2P.

Modular Optoelectronic Multispectral/Stereo Scanner (MOMS-2P) has a "three line along-track stereo device, recording for/aft and high resolution nadir panchromatic data." The swath width of MOMS-2P is 44km in panchromatic modes and 88km in multispectral modes. SAR swath width 50km incidence angle 35°. The multichannel high resolution electronic scanner (MSU-E) swath width is 45km. The Multichannel middle resolution conical scanner (MSU-SK) swath width is 300km.
