HYDROS is planned to be launched by NASA in 2009. The satellite will have a 670-km polar orbit and is planned to generate soil moisture (hydrometeorology at 10km and hydroclimatology at 40km) and freeze/thaw (3km) data products.
HYDROS data are planned to be distributed by the DAACs.
