From: Paul Savage, Chief, Science Payloads Operations Branch Subject: Seminar on "Chronoastrobiology" Franz Halberg, M.D., from the University of Minnesota, will be giving a seminar on Thursday, 2/4/99, in Bldg. 239, Room 039 at 10:00 to 12:00. He will be discussing the developing field of "Chronoastrobiology". Chronoastrobiology relates rhythmic aspects of the cosmos to the biosphere. Dr. Halberg participated in the Biosatellite II program and was one of the founders of the scientific field of "Chronobiology". He is credited with coining the term "circadian rhythm" in the early 1950's.
