SG personnel honored at Ames Honor Awards Ceremony:
Four members of the Earth Science staff were honored at the 2006 Ames Honor Awards Ceremony, Oct. 4. They are:
- Evelyn Perez - Administrative Professional
- Jay Skiles - Mentor
- Kent Shiffer - Project Manager
- Rama Nemani - Scientist/Researcher

SGE Research Scientist gives invited talk on ecological forecasting:
Forrest Melton (CSUMB/SGE) gave an invited talk, October 9, at the EcoHealth One Conference held at the University of Wisconsin. Entitled, "Ecological Forecasting for Public Health Decision Support," his talk discussed the use of NASA Earth science research derived from satellite and ground-based observations, as well as climate forecasts from global circulation models in helping public health officials to make more informed global sustainability decisions when monitoring vector-borne diseases.
